"Been here a couple times and both times were very good experiences. The giant roll is very good and filling upon itself so make sure you have a few people with you or plan to take a it to go. Eggs Benedict comes with a nice thick cut of ham over a really thick biscuit. Normally I prefer the English muffin version but this was very good. Only caveat is they cook the eggs over easy instead of poached but that’s fine in this instance. Just needs a little bigger hollandaise sauce cup to with it would be my only issue. I know they have a sister location in Gatlinburg but that location seem to be too salty and greasy when I ate there once, so I prefer 5 Oaks."

"My first time eating here and definitely was not disappointed. I got the chicken and dumplings and they really reminded me of my grandmothers recipe they were so good, the cornbread it came with was ok but the biscuits are the real winner when it comes to the bread here, some of the best biscuits I’ve had from a restaurant. We also ordered the cinnamon roll and it really is huge, we ate half and took the rest home to have for breakfast the next day. It had such a good flavor and surprisingly wasn’t too sweet which we loved. Overall a really good meal and worth the hype, I can’t remember our waiters name but he was wonderful, we will definitely be back!"

"This place is beautiful. I really liked the country feel and the fire pits out front are great to keep you warm while you wait. I joined the waitlist before I got there so we didn't have to wait long for a table. I had the Country Fried Steak with Fried Okra and my friends got the Smokehouse Sampling with Creamed Corn. I dont have much expectations when it comes to restaurants in high tourist areas but if you're looking for a filling meal, you should come here. The Creamed Corn was probably the best thing I tasted as well as the biscuit that came with my meal. Our waitress was awesome too, very attentive and just the sweetest lady. If youre in the area, I'd give this place a try and get the creamed corn!"

"Very good food & great menu choices. However the hospitality is just not there. Greeted at the door with attitude then served with attitude. We went 2 times in our 5 day vacation. the first time was okay. but the second time we went the server told my friend who has a gluten ALLERGY to just “not eat the gluten on her plate” which I thought was weird because at my restaurant that I work at that would never ever be an appropriate response to an allergy. But I guess i shouldn’t compare. At least The food makes up for all the attitude!"

"The family and I decided to try Five Oaks on our Valentine day birthday trip celebration for our little girl. Five Oaks definitely did not disappoint! The service was great and they were very efficient (we were 30th on the waiting list and only waited about 25 min). Breakfast was awesome. The pancakes were super fluffy and hash browns fried well. The portions were a good size and filling. I will definitely recommend to others I know travel to the area."

"Beautiful inside. Dessert for dinner. Homemade Banana pudding, peach cobbler made in a cast iron skillet and a gigantic cinnamon roll. The peach cobbler was my favorite, flaky top, big scoop of ice cream, just the right amount of cinnamon. The cinnamon roll was ok, tastes like a roll or something, can’t place it but tastes different- big enough for 4 to share. The banana pudding is good, not enough bananas and too much caramel sauce, sweet and delicious tho. I would come back even if it’s just for dessert. Clean and good, quick service."

"one of the BEST meals i’ve EVER HAD!!!!!! this restaurant is the epitome of grandma’s cooking. i felt so cozy and warm eating my chicken pot pie and chicken dumpling soup. i will be thinking of those dumplings for years to come. he got the southern fried steak and loved every bite. the only disappointment was that they were out of cinnamon rolls so i couldn’t experience the greatness, but that’s okay i’ll go earlier next time. service was quick, friendly and efficient. we also loved the complimentary veggie soup, how fun! i recommend joining the waitlist in advance so you don’t have to wait long when you arrive. so so good, i will be back."
